Increasing of electricity production in BGS using ORC cycle
Beck, Michal ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
Objective of this Master’s thesis is to make search about generation and use biogas, with focus on cogeneration and to make search about possibilities of increasing the share of production of electricity by cogeneration from biogas. This final work has also the task to summarize possibilities of increasing the share with ORC cycle and to evaluate pros and cons of this use. Main part of this work is dealing with own design of increasing production of electricity with cogeneration from biogas in biogas station with ORC cycle and comparing this modification with steam engine.
Low-grade heat recovery in industrial processes
Novák, Michal ; Gal, Pavel (referee) ; Havlásek, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the waste heat recovery options from industrial processes. The first part is the theoretical introduction into the problematics of the heat transfer. In the next part the most common waste heat sources are presented. The third part summarizes the methods for waste heat recovery. The last, practical part presents the implementation of the waste heat recovery system into the real operation.
Potential usage of geothermal energy in the Czech Republic
Bombík, Zdeněk ; Mastný, Petr (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with geothermal energy problems and its potential of possible utilization in the Czech Republic. In this work, the description of technologies for utilizing geothermal energy of higher, middle and lower temperatures, is presented. The thesis also includes the description of methods for direct and cogenerative development of electrical power. At the end of this thesis, the first realized project of geothermal equipment in the Czech Republic, situated in Litoměřice, is clarified. The work is also concerned about the analysis of its area and geothermal energy utilizing potential
Project ORC -cycle
Černý, Jakub ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Fiedler, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is the project for biomass cogeneration units using ORC cycle and subsequent use of thermal energy for drying wood biomass for a briquetting line. The introducing sections describe the principle of cogeneration, organic Rankine cycle (primarily the indication of potential applications and their use in practice) and the selection of the proper working fluid. The following sections provide a technical description of the selected plants for cogeneration unit, total circulation scheme and calculation of the evaporator working fluid. The last section is devoted to the economic evaluation of three variants according to the investor's task to design a better option for implementation.
Energy use of biomass
Mandelík, Ladislav ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is the research of different types of biomass, the survey of the technologies for electric power and heat production and the comparison of the present use of biomass in the Czech Republic. The thesis is concerned on the biomass definition, its parts and attributes. Then the technologies for energy use of biomass and biomass categories are mentioned. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the large power plant units in the Czech Republic using biomass and combined production of heat and electricity.
Energy use of biomass
Střecha, Josef ; Lisý, Martin (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The main task of this thesis is the research of different types of biomass, description of each technology subsequent to obtaining thermal energy for central sources of heat and the mapping of use biomass in a cogeneration production of electric energy and heat. The first part of this thesis deals with the creation and definition of biomass, chemical and physical properties, basic distribution and showing examples of individual representatives. The next part of this thesis describes various options of energy usage of biomass subsequent to obtaining energy for central sources of heat. The last part is concentrating to individual power units in Czech Republic, which exploiting biomass for cogeneration production electric power and heat.
Design of industrial boiler with cogeneration
Mička, Radek ; Tvarůžek, Martin (referee) ; Křenek, Ladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the industrial boiler for biomass, Which deals with the issue of the energy future of combustion of fuels using current power generation - microcogeneration, designed for larger houses or smaller com- panies. The shape of the device is the interconnection of individual functional and technological parts of the boiler, a view of a new product that re ects its function. It uses modern and timeless materials, color and control technology to achieve overall comfort and time savings and service.
Utilization of waste heat from combustion gases for power production
Rejnuš, Vojtěch ; Škorpík, Jiří (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
Methods of utilization waste heat are increasingly on the rise and can be applied in many technologies. One of the technologies is the manufacture of cement, which is focused issue of work. Within the solution, and for understanding the problem is outlined cement production process and the analysis of the waste heat from the process, on this basis are selected a suitable method using waste heat with a closer focus on ORC units. After following evaluation and selection of the most suitable unit is made design, calculation and construction of heat exchangers. The result is the evaluation of the entire proposal.
Usage of Busbar as a Source of Heat
Svoboda, Ondřej ; Macháček, Jan (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This study is dedicated to the use of heat energy from the busbar and its cooling system. The study deals with thermal analysis of the busbar, both using numerical simulations in SolidWorks and practical examination – warming of the busbar. We can verify the correctness of the simulation from the measured values. To determine the temperature profile of the busbar, it is necessary to measure the temperature at various points of the busbar by contact method using thermocouple or contactless method using a thermal imager. Measurements are performed at the busbar LIA1600 made by Siemens Busbar Trunking System Mohelnice. The aim of the study is to analyze temperature busbar, to suggest the most efficient method of heat recovery, and to make economic calculation
Solutions for using micro cogeneration in places where are not primarily available gas or liquid fuels
Kubínek, Martin ; Štelcl, Otakar (referee) ; Vojáčková, Jitka (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the usage of micro cogeneration units in the places where gas and liquid fuels are not primarily available. In the research part, the available technologies and the current condition of the market of micro cogeneration units, which use solid fuels, especially biomass, are described. In the technical-economical part, there is a design of the specific unit whose thermal output corresponds to the thermal rated loss of the chosen building. The payback period of the unit with a gasifier and with a combustion engine is estimated in the cases when the chosen building is currently heated by: lignite, wooden chips, electricity and the combination of natural gas and coke.
